Hi! I'm Alesha Havens. I am a small town girl- born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. After completing my undergraduate degree, my husband and I headed South. We called Dallas, Texas home for six years. While there, I worked for Garland Independent School District and spent the majority of my time teaching third grade. During our time in Texas, my husband graduated from Physician Assistant school and I started my master's degree.  While in the midst of enjoying our sixth year in Texas, we found out that we were expecting our first child and decided that moving home to Michigan would be best for our growing family. Thus, we made the move back to my hometown- Newberry, MI. We are now surrounded by family and I am teaching in the same school that inspired me to become a teacher!
